From Australia

Pizza has been ubiquitous in Australia since the Gold Rush — that exciting time in history when everyone traveled to the end of the earth to find their fortune. And being fortunate, Australia became the meat eating capital of the world.

We have a recipe that would make any meat eating Australian proud — but use this as inspiration to make your own meat-infused pizza concoction to delight your guests. The rich flavor of beef, combined with the spicy aromas of the sausages and bacon add zest to the pizza experience. Pair it with a great beer for a truly satisfying Aussie meal.

What you need:

  • 90 grams browned ground beef
  • 30 grams browned sausage
  • 20 grams pepperoni, sliced
  • 20 grams crispy bacon, cut into small pieces
  • Additional cheeses to taste (optional)

What you do:

Prepare the beef and sausage (each separately) by cooking in a skillet in a little oil and your favorite spices (try onion, garlic, oregano and pepper) until the meat is no longer pink. This should take about 3-5 minutes. Lay the meat over the uncooked but defrosted pizza. Place the pepperoni slices and the bacon on top. Then, if you would like — add shredded cheese for extra flavor — mozzarella and parmesan work nicely, as examples. Put in the oven for about 5 minutes — and enjoy!
